Career
  • Born in Tokyo in 1966. After graduating Kaisei Senior High School and Keio University, joined Shimoda City Hall, Shizuoka Prefecture.
    Worked in the Tax Affairs Section (taxation), Construction Section (land acquisition) and the General Affairs Section (legal affairs, administrative reform, disaster management) and was seconded to Shizuoka Prefecture Bureau of Disaster Prevention (now the Risk Management Department). Gained a total of 12 years’ experience working for regional public bodies.
  • After leaving Shimoda City Hall, joined Sumitomo Wiring Systems, Ltd. (a global company with the largest share of the market for automotive wire harnesses) as a Section Chief in 2007. Involved in the reconstruction of the Sumitomo Wiring Group’s global risk management structure, business continuity planning, actions to prevent a novel influenza pandemic, and a wide range of companywide initiatives ranging from personnel affairs, labor affairs, safety management and recruitment to the development of human resources.
  • Began working for a leading outsourcing firm (which was initially a foreign firm and was later listed on the first section of the Tokyo Stock Exchange) from 2011 as the person responsible for compliance, risk management and CSR.
  • 2Started own business in 2015 and began working as the Representative and Head Researcher of Mori Global Consulting.
    Also engaged in a wide range of other activities including lecturing at universities (including the University of Tsukuba), taking part in panel discussions, writing law books and contributing to legal journals.
